Simple yet elegant design!!  

Sony has kept the design of Xperia Z simple yet hugely attractive. It is a treat to hold and is a completely breathtaking piece of gadget you would love to flaunt. Although it has a 10.1 inch form factor yet it feels quite light and compact. Sony calls it omni balance design which provides it the portability of a 7.0 inch tablet. Its front is dominated by tempered glass which Sony claims is durable, scratch resistant and has anti-Shatter film. The back is plain with only Xperia and a NFC logo. The device comes with IP55 and IP57 rating which means it is dust and water proof. Sony claims it can last in meter deep water for 30 min and is also dust resistant.

Xperia Z tab features Sony’s own mobile BRAVIA® Engine which Sony claims provides better contrast ratios, sharpness and reduces noise levels. Z tab comes with a full HD resolution of 1200X1920 pixels which gives it impressive pixel density of 224 which is excellent for such a large screen. The viewing angles on the tab are good. Sony claims its OptiContrast™ technology reduces the screen glare to a great extent enabling less reflection and clearer viewing.

Android 4.1 Jellybean with Snapdragon™ S4 Pro Processor

The Z tab comes with android 4.3 jelly bean and has Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ S4 Pro processor featuring 4 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz. The cores in this processor are asynchronous i.e. they are powered up and down as and when required which enables it to save power and give longer run times. It comes with ADRENO 320 GPU which is claimed to be twice as fast as previous generation flagship GPU ADRENO 225 and 2 GB of RAM. So Gaming and Multitasking should be fun with its powerful GPU and ample RAM. Its stunning display makes it delight to play games and enjoy multimedia content.

The Xperia Z tab comes with 2.2 MP front and 8.1 MP rear camera fitted with mobile version of Sony’s Exmor R™ sensor which was designed to produce stunning pictures in candle light. It can also record full HD videos @30 fps with both front and rear camera and also supports infinite no of burst shots @10 fps. It also supports NFC which allows one touch sharing of videos and picture with compatible devices without any hassle of cables and wires. It also comes with an IR sensor which enables it to function as universal remote so you can control all your devices using the tab only, how convenient.

Why would you love it?

Stunning display, magnificent design, surprisingly light, unbelievably thin at 6.9 mm, superb performance, Amazing features, great UI, torcher resistant (well somewhat),great set of pre-installed apps and lets you control almost everything with its universal remote. Do you need any more reasons to love it? I hope not as it is one of the best tablet money can buy. Best thing is you don’t need to be too protective of it as it can take care of itself quite well.
