Price Comparison
Design and build!!
Asus Zenfone 4 A450CG is another budget oriented smartphone from Asus. Build quality same as that of Zenfone 4 A400CG that is not premium but very good considering the price. Buttons on the phone give good feedback and we felt they gave better response than the Moto E. TFT Display of the phone is good and has a resolution of 480x854 pixels with density of 218 ppi on a 4.5 inch screen which is slightly less than Moto E but no way looks bad. Front of the phone is protected by corning gorilla glass 3 making it somewhat scratch resistant.
Hardware
Asus Zenfone 4 A450CG has same Intel® Atom™ Dual-Core Z2520 Processor clocked in at 1.2 GHz with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology as that of Zenfone 4 A400CG. As mentioned earlier it is a good entry level processor and proves its credentials. The phone is smooth and lag free thanks to 1 GB of RAM during multitasking. For gaming it features PowerVR SGX 544 GPU which same as its lower priced sibling and gives admirable performance for the price. The phone is packed with 1750 mAh of battery slightly larger than 400cg which is expected to provide slightly more juice as the core specs are same.
Camera and other features
Asus Zenfone 4 A450 CG comes with a 8 MP primary camera with Asus PixelMaster technology and has a LED flash hugely missed on Moto E making it exciting choice for those who want a decent camera at budget. It supports various customization options like its elder and lower sibling. The phone supports 1080p video recording which is also average and has a 0.3 MP front camera for video calling. The phone supports USB OTG and has dual SIM support. It also plays 1080p video without any lag whatsoever.
Software
Asus Zenfone 4 A450CG like all other Zenfone’s runs on Asus custom user interface ZenUI but this one comes with android 4.4 Kit Kat. ZenUI is a very beautiful looking UI with lots of customization done to add various cool features and apps. Notification panel has similarities to iOS with the use of same beautiful round icons. The plus point of UI is while making your phone an admirable device it doesn’t eat into its performance and is incredibly light on system resources.
Why would you love it?
Asus Zenfone 4 A450 CG like Moto E offers great value for money. For those who were disappointed by a sub-par camera on Moto E can look up to Zenfone 4.5 which has 8 MP camera with LED Flash. The phone also has better gaming performance than Moto E with looks being enhanced by a cool proprietary metallic strip at the bottom. The performance of the phone is very good and so is the UI.
Pros
- Dual Core processor
- Good camera with LED flash
- 4.5 inch TFT Screen
- Expandable Storage Capacity of 64 GB
- 1750mAh Battery
Wifi Hotspot
Bluetooth
